Cant seem to get past the pilots name!

This has been always been one of my favorite
Apps. Both fun and challenging either in a solo or a multiplayer game and thats part of what I liked about it. It continued to hold my interest as I progressed, even enticing me to purchase additional in-app purchases and battle theaters. Unfortunately I had a problem with my iPad 3 and was forced into a total reset. Now when I try to restart the game it seems to hang indefinitely after I enter my pilots name. The "working" wheel just spins for minutes and minutes. Im not sure what the problem is but I wish theyd fix it.
